Following a successful client installation, the running client service needs to be registered with the Hydden tenant.

1. Point your browser manually at your system with the running client service. If the client is running locally on your system, open a browser and enter https://localhost:22101. If the client is running on a remote system, such as a container, point it to the system’s IP address or hostname with port 22101. You will get a certificate warning for container-deployed clients, which is dismissible.

2. The Bootstrap page opens. Verify the correct server address, which defaults to https://portal.hydden.com.

   

3. Click Next.

   To finalize the client registration, you have two options:

   • to manually copy and paste the join code, or
   • to use the Verify Registration button.

   [!note] The claims passed back from the provider to the Hydden application during OIDC setup that occurs at the bootstrapping process must include name and email address. If name and email information is not included, you may experience an issues when a login appears successful but no information is returned to proceed to the next page. –>

Manual Copy and Paste

1. Copy the join code.
2. Navigate to your Hydden tenant.

3. Open __Discover

   Clients__ and click + Add Client.

4. Paste the join code into the Join Code field on the Add New Client modal.

   

5. Once you paste the join code into the modal, the Client Name and Site fields populate and you can select your data collection template(s) from the Template drop-down.
6. Click Register.

Use of “Verify Registration” Button

1. Verify that you are currently signed into your Hydden tenant.

2. Click Verify Registration on the Bootstrap page.

   

3. The automated workflow opens the Register New Client modal. The Join Code, Client Name and Site fields are populated and you can select your data collection template(s) from the Template drop-down.
4. Click Register.
