# Workflows can be configured for successful and failed collections, valid or invalid data, and detected or resolved threat rule matches.

To activate the workflow and threat rule association, enable the Allow Workflow Trigger checkbox on the add/edit Threat Detection Rule modal.

Follow the steps below to add an Action Workflow.

  1. In Hydden, navigate to __Configuration Automate__.
  2. On the Workflows tab, click + Add New.
  3. From the Trigger drop-down, select the from the list of available triggers for your specific workflow, for example, either collection failed or succeeded.
  4. From the Action drop-down, select the action based on the previously configured SMTP or Sendgrid provider.
  5. For To, enter an email address, for example, support@hydden.com.
  6. For Subject, enter a subject line, for example, failed data collection alert.
  7. For Body, enter a message body, to provide details or instructions. The available variables are auto-displayed when you type { into the text field. Refer to Triggers to see the complete variable list.
  8. Click Save.
  9. To be able to use the workflow in Hydden, change the switch in the table row to the on position.

The configured action is now active and ready for use on the entity details pages when accessed via Global Search.

[!NOTE] A collection must be run successfully at least once before a failure action can be triggered, and vice versa.
